Vegas is no stranger to Mob stories and now even tourists will be able to get a feel of the Sin City when Mobsters were in their heyday. Two unaffiliated museums dedicated to organized crime are opening this year in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Mob Experience will debuted today at the Tropicana Las Vegas resort and casino with interactive exhibits and the ability for visiting Mobsters to choose the fate of guests.
The second museum is set to open sometime in December and will be located downtown at the former courthouse where one of the 14 Kefauver Committee hearings was held in the early 1950s. As one of the few remaining historic buildings in Las Vegas, the hopes of many are that the Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, or The Mob Museum, will entice more visitors to the downtown area.
